With a footprint of less than 30 x 10 cm (11.7 x 3.9 in.), the DR-2080C is one of the smallest document scanners available, and will fit on just about any desktop or counter space. The key to its size is a compact sensor unit, which has the further benefits of low power consumption and zero warm-up time. The DR-2080C scans A4/LTR-size documents at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute, or 39 images per minute in duplex mode (200dpi). Best of all, grayscale images can be scanned at the same speeds as binary (black and white) ones. This scanner also offers top-class image resolution: up to 600dpi in binary, grayscale, or 24-bit color. Smooth feeding is essential to efficient scanning. Thanks to its advanced roller mechanism, the DR-2080C reliably feeds each page in a batch, avoiding troublesome double feeds that slow users down. What's more, feeding can be easily adjusted to handle thin or thick paper, small items such as business cards, and multi-sheet forms printed on carbonless paper.
